Verification with meta tag

Last Updated: Sep 12, 2016 02:53PM CEST

Add a meta tag with a unique key to your index page before the </head> tag,  just like you would, for example, with Google Webmaster.

1. Copy the meta tag

In the Use a Meta Key Verification box, you will find a code snippet you can copy.

2. Add the meta tag to your index page

Paste the code snippet to your index page right before the closing </head> tag.

3. Start your first test

You’re now all set and ready to start your first test. Happy scanning!

Common issues when verifying with meta key

The domain you entered redirects to another domain

The meta code is not on the domain you have added to your account. This can happen if your website uses redirects to point www.yourdomain.com to yourdomain.com. To solve this issue, add yourdomain.com directly instead of www.yourdomain.com. If that is not possible, contact us and we will help you out!

The meta key is not in the <head> tag

Make sure that the meta key is in between <head> and </head>.
